If you had to sum up retro and vintage in one word, that word would be “vinyl.“

LPs are as vintage as it gets, but at the same time incredibly retro – sort of, at least, because they have never been away. Ideal for the new Vintage section of HiFi.nl. Rob Berbee and Elly Alderden manage the largest vinyl collection in the Netherlands. That’s why we spent a morning in their Vinyl Archive in the center of Nijmegen, where you can score records for one euro, but also for 350 euros. Vinyl is booming, say Rob and Elly, and they should know.
